About the Piedmont Koi and Watergarden Society |

After much conversation about koi, goldfish, watergardens, societies, fellowships, associations, and clubs, the Piedmont Koi and Watergarden Society came into being on May 1, 1992. At our first meeting, we agreed that our primary purpose would be fun and fellowship, and learning centered around everything mentioned above. The bi-laws state our purpose under section B -"to promote, create and enlarge the hobby of keeping, breeding, appreciating and exhibiting Koi; to disseminate information about the above to the membership; to engage in educational and social activities related to our purpose and to acquire such property as may be necessary for any or all of the ongoing purposes.
The Piedmont Koi & Watergarden Society meets monthly at members homes and presents a variety of topics ranging from koi keeping to watergardening. Visitors to the Charlotte, NC area are welcome to attend.
